Who uses Field Pro

This page introduces the five kinds of people who use Field Pro and what each one does.

Use it to find your place in the system. For the full rules on what each role can see and change, read the Roles & permissions page.

The five roles at a glance

  • Admin — sets up and runs the whole system; the only role that creates users, resets passwords, and reaches the advanced technical settings.
  • Manager — runs the business day to day across their territories: catalog, pricing, approvals, must-sell lists, promotions, and most settings.
  • Supervisor — watches their own territory: dashboards, reports, attendance, targets, and store compliance, and can build beat plans.
  • Rep — the field salesperson on the mobile app, working their outlets: visits, orders, payments, leads, and forms.
  • Field Helper — assists a rep in the field, capturing their own work and seeing the rep's outlets.

Who does what

Role Works mainly in Typical jobs
Admin Web app Create and manage users, reset passwords, set up everything, advanced config
Manager Web app Catalog, pricing, beats, approvals, must-sell lists, promotions, dashboards
Supervisor Web app Watch their territory, build beats, view reports and compliance
Rep Mobile app Visit outlets, take orders, collect payments, capture leads, fill forms
Field Helper Mobile app Assist a rep; capture own work; view the rep's outlets

Note: Reps and Field Helpers each get one active session at a time — logging in on a new phone signs the old one out. This keeps each account tied to one person.

Tip: A rep's data is locked to their own account (plus any helpers). Reps never see another rep's outlets or numbers.
